PDF Setu is a free service that provides powerful PDF merging, creation, and editing tools — available both as an Android application and as a web app at pdfsetu.in.

This Privacy Policy is intended to inform you — our valued users — about our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information when you use our Service. By using PDF Setu (the app or website), you agree to the terms described in this policy.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and operating with full transparency. If you have any questions after reading this document, please reach out to us (see Section 6).

This is the cornerstone of PDF Setu's design. Whether you use the Android app or the website, every operation runs locally, in-memory, without any network transmission of your document content. Specifically:

• We do NOT upload your PDFs or images to any external server, cloud storage, or third-party service.
• We do NOT store copies of your documents — not temporarily, not permanently. Your files exist only in your device's local memory during the session.
• We do NOT analyze or read the content of your PDFs. We have no access to the text, images, or data within your documents.
• Once you close the app or the browser tab, all in-memory data is immediately cleared. No trace of your files remains.

Your PDFs remain strictly private — exactly as private as the device in your hands.

To deliver our core features on Android, PDF Setu may request the following permissions. We request only the minimum permissions necessary and will never request permissions beyond what is described here.

PDF Setu does not collect, store, or share any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) from its users. We do not operate user accounts, databases of personal data, or any kind of user tracking system.

Specifically, we do not collect:

• Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any registration details.
• Device identifiers tied to your personal identity.
• Location data.
• The content, metadata, or filenames of any documents you process.

We value your trust and are committed to protecting your information. The security of your documents is inherently guaranteed by our architecture.

Because PDF Setu works entirely offline and on-device, your documents are never exposed to the internet or any external server. There is no central database of user documents that could be hacked or breached.

The security of your processed documents is therefore directly protected by your own device's security mechanisms — your lock screen PIN, biometric authentication, and the operating system's sandboxing protections.

We strongly encourage you to keep your device's operating system and the PDF Setu app updated to the latest version to benefit from all security patches.
